Up and down the country we have families in need of reusable facemasks, can you help us?!
– do you have material or elastic you can donate?
– can you sew?
– do you have masks to donate?
It’s especially important for parents who visit their babies in a neonatal unit to have access to facemasks so they’re able to safely walk through hospital sand public areas to get to their baby in the unit. They’re under enough stress at the moment without the added complication of trying to source masks. The Little Miracles Trust is therefore aiming to supply every parent who’s baby is in a unit in Zealand with a reusable mask.
At any one time there are approximately 400 babies in a unit, either in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or special care baby unit (SCBU) so we’re currently looking at somewhere between 800 to 1000 masks required.
If you’re keen to help us assist neonatal families, please contact us on info@littlemiraclestrust.org.nz we’d love to hear from you!
