The Little Miracles Trust Wellington recently held their annual thank you morning tea for volunteer knitters.
Rosemary Escott, Team Leader of NICU, then took them on a tour of the unit so they could see how the hours and hours of knitting they do, benefits the NICU by:
- being worn by the babies, or
- given out in our Welcome Packs to every family when they arrive in the Unit, or
- being sold through The Little Miracles Trust Wellington shop.
With the proceeds from our shop so we can purchase equipment for the unit and support families with babies in the unit by providing weekly parent lunches, library resources, meals etc.
Please see the photos showing some of the new knitting that arrived yesterday and is now for sale in our shop at very reasonable prices. Please make sure you let your friends know where are shop is and that anyone can come and buy from us (not just parents with babies in NICU).
A big thanks to all the generous and talented knitters who help us support neonatal families.
