**Updated** Nurse Practitioner at Waikato Hospital **winner** in Kudos Awards

Deborah Harris, PhD and Nurse Practitioner at Waikato Hospital, won the Gallagher Medical Science Award at the Kudos Awards.  The Kudos Awards support and recognise outstanding achievement in scientific research and innovation from the Waikato region.

Deborah’s research focused on neonatal hypoglycaemia (low blood glucose concentrations), a common problem in new-born babies that can lead to brain damage.

Congratulations Deborah from The Little Miracles Trust!

Thanks so much for sharing your personal story!

We get a lot of positive feedback from families in a neonatal unit who read these stories and feel strength, hope and positivity knowing that they are not alone going through these experiences and feeling certain emotions.

If you would like to discuss sharing the story of your neonatal journey, we’d love to hear from you.
