Taranaki parents give back
The parents of a tiny baby born three months premature are donating thousands of dollars worth of equipment to Taranaki’s neo-natal unit.
Because Lucy Reid was born so early, her Mum Shannon Cox was flown to Waikato Hospital, where Lucy was born, Cox said. “We were there for five weeks and then six weeks in New Plymouth. It was a bit hard and scary at the time. Waikato has all the bells and whistles and it’s pretty fancy, so we thought it would be better to donate here.”
Cox and partner Tim Reid, Lucy and Reid’s business Greaves Electrical were donating equipment worth more than $10,000 to the Little Miracles Trust Taranaki to thank them for the care Lucy received.
