Miracle 2lb identical twins born 11 weeks premature start primary school
Five year-old sisters Freya and Orla Greig, from the United Kingdom, had a combined weight of just 4lb 11oz when they were born nearly three months premature and were at risk of not pulling through making their first day at school an extra special milestone for proud parents Sinead and Colin.
Hundreds of children across East Kilbride enjoyed their first day of school last week – but for the family of a set of identical twin girls the day was extra special.
Five-year-old Stewartfield twins Orla and Freya Greig were just like any other pupils when they walked through the gates of Kirktonholme Primary last Monday but it was a day their family fear might never happen.
