Make a Mothers’ Day!
Host a ‘High Tea’ in support of Neonatal Families
Each year over 5,000 babies across New Zealand will need to spend time in an intensive care unit which may be due to being born as early as 23 weeks gestation or full-term with a medical condition. This means that on Mother’s Day around 450 Mums will be spending time at a newborn intensive care unit to spend time with her little one which is far from the images that most of us conjour up for the perfect Mother’s Day.
We’d love your help in providing these packs and you can do this by hosting a High Tea with your nearest and dearest – a great excuse to get together and do some good.
As part of our pack there is all sorts to help you on your way to hosting a fabulous high tea and you can do this right throughout May as it doesn’t have to be on Mother’s Day itself. In the digital pack you’ll find invitations, sample menus, a blank menu template should you wish to create your own, a variety of recipes including vegetarian and vegan options and so much more! You could make it a ticketed event; you could host a raffle; have donation ‘buckets’ at the event or do all of these to make it a truly successful day.
Keen to help out? Email us at supportus@littlemiraclestrust.org.nz and we’ll get a pack to you right away!

Support Us
If you want to help our support of families going through the stress and anxiety of a neonatal journey, you can donate via the link below.
- The Little Miracles Trust provides support to families of premature or sick full-term babies as they make their journey through Neonatal Intensive Care, the transition home, and onwards. We do not receive any Government funding and are entirely reliant on the generosity of individuals, companies and organisations in the form of donations, value-in-kind donations, grants, sponsorship and fundraising events to supplement operating costs and fund our services and initiatives.
- As we are a registered charity (CC56619) with Charities Services New Zealand we will send you an IRD compliant tax receipt – this will happen automatically by return email.
