Mad woman with a buggy

Tracey_NP2_small_cropped.jpgThe many people who donate their time and money and raise funds for The Little Miracles Trust are Heroes – to both the Trust and also the many people who we help and support.

Tracey Thomson-Lamplough is a great example of a ‘Neonatal Hero’. Tracey has committed to running the Rotorua marathon with a buggy and raising funds for The Little Miracles Trust. Her son Charlie was born premature and after spending 2 weeks in the Neonatal Unit, she “wanted to give something back and to help those who are going through similar and more difficult situations than we did”.

The pieces fell into place when away training for work and before she knew it the title ‘mad woman running with a buggy’ was born! To learn more about Tracey’s story, go to her Fundraiseonline page:  http://www.fundraiseonline.co.nz/MadWomanwithaBuggy/  The page includes a link to her blog also, if you wanted to keep up to date with the training progress.

Tracey, The Little Miracles Trust thanks and salutes for your efforts. Good luck for the Rotorua Marathon in May!

Thanks so much for sharing your personal story!

We get a lot of positive feedback from families in a neonatal unit who read these stories and feel strength, hope and positivity knowing that they are not alone going through these experiences and feeling certain emotions.

If you would like to discuss sharing the story of your neonatal journey, we’d love to hear from you.

If you want to help our support of families going through the stress and anxiety of a neonatal journey, you can donate via the link below.

  • The Little Miracles Trust provides support to families of premature or sick full-term babies as they make their journey through Neonatal Intensive Care, the transition home, and onwards. We do not receive any Government funding and are entirely reliant on the generosity of individuals, companies and organisations in the form of donations, value-in-kind donations, grants, sponsorship and fundraising events to supplement operating costs and fund our services and initiatives.
  • As we are a registered charity (CC56619) with Charities Services New Zealand we will send you an IRD compliant tax receipt – this will happen automatically by return email.
