Little Hero Fundraiser – 3 August 2014

Vinnie is about to turn one – hooray!!!  When he was born, Vinnie spent 3 weeks in the Auckland NICU and his parents are so incredibly grateful to the Auckland NICU that they have decided to hold a disco and silent auction at Gladstone Primary School Hall on 3 August to celebrate Vinnie and babies like him whose lives have been saved by the care and expertise of the NICU team at Auckland Hospital.    They are calling this their Little Hero Fundraiser.

Stephanie, Vinnie’s Mum, writes “The NICU relies heavily on specialised life-‐saving equipment, yet due to budgetary restrictions some equipment, although integral, has to be borrowed from other departments or wards. Simply speaking, without the technology, support and medical machines of NICU we would not be celebrating the first birthday of our treasured son and little Hero Vinnie.  Please help us to give back and ensure that there are many more little heroes celebrated in the future”.   Read the full story of Vinnie’s birth and time in the NICU here

So….now it is The Little Miracles Trust’s turn to be incredibly grateful as the aim is to raise enough money for the home-care team in Auckland to invest in a blood pressure monitor and a saturation machine at a cost of $12,000.

Vinnie would love to welcome you to the Little Hero Disco on August 3rd, 1pm-4pm at Gladstone Primary School, 8 Seaview Terrace, Mt Albert, Auckland.   Please RSVP to vinnie@wellwarecollections.com

You can bid on items in the silent auction at the Little Hero Disco or through the facebook page prior to the event.
