Little goals, big miracles for heart-transplant baby
When a mother has seen her premature baby fight for his life, undergo a heart transplant and spend more days in the hospital than at home, she stops seeking peace of mind. She accepts that caring for her sick child means worrying all the time. So she seeks solace in the small, quiet moments.
Born at 33 weeks, Oliver Crawford from Arizona in the United States was only 6 days old when Phoenix Children’s Hospital decided to try and save his life through a heart transplant. Read more about Oliver here.
Thanks so much for sharing your personal story!
We get a lot of positive feedback from families in a neonatal unit who read these stories and feel strength, hope and positivity knowing that they are not alone going through these experiences and feeling certain emotions.
If you would like to discuss sharing the story of your neonatal journey, we’d love to hear from you.
