Breakfast and support at Waikato NICU

Meet others travelling the NICU journey

Having a premature or sick new born baby can be an incredibly isolating experience.  Parents more often than not feel like they have been thrown into a situation that none of their friends or family can completely understand and that they don’t have anyone who ‘gets it’ to talk to.

Friday mornings in Waikato NICU offer parents an opportunity to meet and get to know families who are in the same boat as them at an informal breakfast and social in the family room.  This is an opportunity to share food, stories and ask quesions – nourishment for the body soul and heart.  The lovely Leanne is also on hand to offer any advice and contact details for support groups and agencies.

All parents with little ones currently being cared for in Waikato NICU are invited to attend.

Support Us

If you want to help our support of families going through the stress and anxiety of a neonatal journey, you can donate via the link below.

  • The Little Miracles Trust provides support to families of premature or sick full-term babies as they make their journey through Neonatal Intensive Care, the transition home, and onwards. We do not receive any Government funding and are entirely reliant on the generosity of individuals, companies and organisations in the form of donations, value-in-kind donations, grants, sponsorship and fundraising events to supplement operating costs and fund our services and initiatives.
  • As we are a registered charity (CC56619) with Charities Services New Zealand we will send you an IRD compliant tax receipt – this will happen automatically by return email.
