Book: "Waiting for Emma: A Brother's Story: (For Siblings and Families in the NICU)"

This book, written by American author Danielle Leibovici, is written and illustrated specifically for families whose baby is in a NICU.

“Adam’s baby sister, Emma, came a few weeks early.  She is now getting treatment in the Neonatal intensive Care Unit.  Adam’s life has changed.  His parents’ lives have changed.  There are many new adjustments and emotions going on around him.  How can he make sense of it all?  When can she come home?”

This book has won numerous awards and offers gentle support and will increase shared communication and perspective during the often unprepared for and uncertain time in the NICU.

The book can be purchased directly from the author here, or via Amazon.

Thanks so much for sharing your personal story!

We get a lot of positive feedback from families in a neonatal unit who read these stories and feel strength, hope and positivity knowing that they are not alone going through these experiences and feeling certain emotions.

If you would like to discuss sharing the story of your neonatal journey, we’d love to hear from you.
