During your stay
Do I get to spend time in the Unit learning about my
baby, before going home?
The Unit has limited facilities for living-in mothers. If your baby has reached
the stage where he can breast-feed and the feeds at the breast are being
increased, mums may be asked to come and live-in, in the parents rooms.
Bed and linen are provided but you will need to provide your own food.
There is a fridge for storing food and a microwave for cooking or heating
food in. When rooming-in, you will be required to get up and feed your
baby each feed. Showers and toilets are also between the rooms.
