Walker goes viral
Jared and Erica Pruett love their new life as parents, but it hasn’t been an easy journey for them.
Their 5-month-old son, Walker, was born 14 weeks premature on 25th April weighing in at 590grams and whilst Walker may be little, he has made quite the reputation for himself.
Their roller coaster of a journey was all caught on camera, thanks to Capturing Hopes, a non-profit organization out of North Carolina that takes pictures of premature babies in NICU. Their services are given to families free of charge.
Erica took to the internet with a blog to try and keep family and friends up to date with their son Walker. That blog very quickly went viral and the Pruetts were receiving emails from people all over the country and all over the world. Little did they realise they were giving hope to other families in the same position.
It’s been a long journey for this family of three, but they said their baby is proof that miracles can happen.
Erica’s blog now has reached over 100 thousand hits and whilst she has returned to work and hasn’t had time to post anything she still receives emails every day.
