ChurtonPark_NewWorld_IncubatorSignOur converted incubator donation boxes have been out and about raising awareness and funds in the community.

A few years ago when two incubators from the Wellington Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) had come to the end of service, an idea was hatched to produce unique donation boxes to raise awareness and funds for supporting families on a neonatal journey.  Read about the first incubator conversions here.

We currently have a number of incubator donation boxes across New Zealand.  Their size and very visual nature help to raise awareness of the incidence of prematurity and also the number of full-term babies who experience health issues and/or complications at birth.

Most recently one of our Wellington incubators has been camped out at Churton Park New World, where we discovered owner, Jan Phelan, has a personal connection.  Her twin grandsons were born early and spent some time in a NICU. Now, as you can see from the sign pictured, they are happy, thriving three year olds!

It is thanks to business owners like Jan that we are able to get our donation boxes out into the community and raise much needed funds to provide support to the thousands of families that have a baby go through a neonatal unit every year.

Can you help?

Do you have an event or busy store / mall / public space where an incubator donation box could be hosted?
If you do, or have an idea for us, please contact info@littlemiraclestrust.org.nz

Those that help with hosting an incubator donation box help us to provide more of this support.
