Weta Workshop entranceJoin Richard and Tania Taylor in the Weta Workshop boardroom for lunch!

The Little Miracles Trust is extremely proud and honoured to have Richard and Tania Taylor as our Patrons. They are fantastic supporters of The Little Miracles Trust – very generously giving their time to promote awareness and assist with fundraising activities. We are incredibly grateful for their support.

As part of ‘Neonatal November’ they are helping us fundraise with a lunch in the Weta Workshop boardroom. The winner of this auction will be able to bring five friends along (in one group) for a truly unique experience. They will enjoy lunch with the co-owners and co-founders of Weta Workshop, in the Weta Workshop boardroom, surrounded by a large number of original sculptures and collectibles!  Appreciating busy schedules and travel commitments the date and time will need to be by negotiation. The luncheon would ideally be booked for December 2018 to April 2019 inclusive.
The winner and their guests are responsible for their own transport to Weta Workshop in Miramar, Wellington.

The auction is on Trade Me and closes at 8.30pm on Friday 30th November.  Questions are very welcome via the Trade Me question function or at info@littlemiraclestrust.org.nz

The background

Co-owners and founders of Weta Workshop based in the Wellington suburb of Miramar, Richard and Tania Taylor are proud supporters of The Little Miracles Trust.  From humble beginnings in the back room of their flat in Wellington, Richard and Tania have built Weta Workshop to be a world-leading design and effects facility servicing the world’s creative industries. Richard is a five times Academy Award© winner (in Visual effects, costume design and makeup) and in 2012 was recognised as New Zealander of the Year.  Their support of The Little Miracles Trust comes from a personal experience earlier in their lives involving their child needing life-saving surgery as a baby, and the resulting care and support shown to them by the Wellington Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Richard and Tania continually support the work of the Trust in many capacities, and give very generously of their time to promote awareness and assist with fundraising activities. This auction is another example of their wonderful community support.

The Little Miracles TrustEvery year in New Zealand, more than 5,000 babies are born premature. That’s one every 90 minutes. Many more full-term babies requiring specialist support are cared for in specialist neonatal intensive care units. The Little Miracles Trust helps to support the families of premature and also sick full-term babies as they make their journey through neonatal care, the transition home and onwards.

All proceeds from this auction will go towards enabling us to continue ‘making a difficult start to life that little bit easier’. Examples of our support can be seen in this gallery
