The Little Miracles Trust is proud to be supported by Baby Sensory
To provide support to The Little Miracles Trust, Baby Sensory are planning on running a ‘Senseathon’ fundraiser in 2019. Watch this space for more details, but for now we can share:
- The Senseathon will be a fun, themed event run by Baby Sensory. Parents and their babies/toddlers will be tasked with completing special fun ‘’challenges’’ during the Senseathon classes, while supporting other babies by raising funds for The Little Miracles Trust – there will even be a chance for the babies (and grown ups!) to dress up in fancy dress!
- The support of The Little Miracles Trust follows on from similar overseas Baby Sensory Senseathon events which raise funds for other neonatal causes (eg, Tommys in the UK)
Working together with Baby Sensory, we’re using their research based material to enhance our support material and develop new resources. The first of the new resources ‘Supporting Development‘ is out now.
This resource joins the other examples of the support and education material we’ve created with the help of graduate parents of a NICU and/or SCBU. These include:
- Reading to your Baby, provided to encourage a practise that helps both parents and the baby
- The Think REF – Health and Wellbeing support document, to prompt parents to look after themselves
- Kangaroo Cuddles is great for both bonding and development
- It’s important to be conscious of Your Emotions
- Written by Dads who have been there, here are some Tips for Dads

About Baby Sensory
Dr Lin Day (PhD, M.Phil, PGCE, BSc, Dip Ed), is one of the UK’s leading parenting experts and a renowned author within the field of childcare and education. New Zealand is a world leader in neonatal care and neonatal research. We’re proud to have supported many research programmes that contribute to enhanced understanding and outcomes (through changes to clinical care). These include research looking into the:
