The Little Miracles Trust is very grateful to one of our Partners Mojo Coffee for launching its first annual fund raising campaign in support of the Trust.
Throughout August, Mojo ran a phone collection campaign. It had collection points set up in all Mojo stores nationwide for people to donate their old cell phones for Mojo to send away for recycling with all funds going directly to the Trust (and to say thanks, Mojo shouted a coffee for every phone received!). The Roxy Cinema also generously offered to be a collection (and coffee redemption) point. Collection points were also available at Jeff Gray BMW participating dealerships in Wellington, Hastings, Christchurch and Palmerston North.
As Mojo stated on its blog it wasn’t too sure how this would go, but the results astounded it and us! People donated 785 cell phones, of which 606 were able to be fully recycled as parts. This resulted in $6,465.38 for The Little Miracles Trust!
The Little Miracles Trust are blown away with the result and extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who assisted, donated and supported, in particular, Mojo, Roxy Cinema, Jeff Gray BMW, iSite Media who donated billboard space in Auckland and Wellington, and Ocular who donated digital and media expertise.
Mojo and The Little Miracles Trust would also like to extend a massive thank you to everyone who donated their phones, companies who rallied up their old phone stocks to donate in bulk and everyone else who helped to make this first campaign a success! Look out for it to be bigger and better in August 2014.
